Order an electricity contract: Frequently asked questions
You can decide how often you want to be invoiced.
- At least 4 bills per year.
- No more than 12 bills per year.
The energy price (cents per kWh) of Vaasan Sähkö’s Exchange electricity changes hourly.
On your electricity bill, you will only see the actual monthly spot average price, which is weighted according to your electricity consumption. Because of this, the average price varies with each invoice.
The basic fee for Exchange electricity (the monthly price) and our billed margin (the commission) are more stable. If you intend to change them, we will inform you well in advance so that you can terminate your contract if you wish before the new price takes effect.
Electricity contracts are personal, but if the contract holder is unable to make the contract, you can make the contract on their behalf with a power of attorney. For persons under 18, the electricity contract is made in the name of the guardian.
Of course! We supply electricity to customers in all of mainland Finland.

A fixed-term contract
- is valid for a fixed term, typically either 12 or 24 months.
