Starting January 1, 2025, the new energy fee for district heating will be 66,21 €/MWh. The increase to the current energy fee is 2,48 €/MWh (including VAT 25.5 %) and is due to higher procurement and production costs of thermal energy.
At the same time, the basic fee for district heating will also be increased by 15 % reflecting higher investment and maintenance costs. The last increase in energy and basic fees occurred on June 1, 2023.
These changes will affect the average district heating bill by about 5,7 % per year, translating to an increase of approximately EUR 10 per month for a detached house. For a typical apartment building with 80 flats, the impact per apartment is approximately EUR 2,4 per month.
Upon receiving information about the price change, the customer has the right to terminate the heating contract with one month’s notice within 30 days, according to the terms of the agreement.
