What happens if you don’t renew your contract? 

If you don’t sign a new contract, we will automatically give you a Basic Electricity contract when the fixed-term contract comes to an end.  

The Basic Electricity contract is valid until further notice, and you can choose to make any new contract with a 14-day exchange period. You can find the current price of Basic Electricity on our website.

Fixed-term contract and moving 

Are you moving house? If you wish, you can transfer your current contract to the new address. Just call our customer service and we will transfer the contract for you!

Questions about contract renewal 

Where can I check when my contract will expire? 

You can check the end date of the contract in the Vaasan Sähkö app under My information or on your invoice. 

Will I receive a message when the contract period is about to expire?

We will send you an offer for a new electricity contract well in advance of the end of the contract period. 

How early can I sign a new contract?

A new contract can be concluded no earlier than 90 days before the fixed-term contract expires. 

I have renewed the contract, when will the new prices come into effect? 

The new prices will enter into force when the fixed-term contract has ended.
