Security deposit
If you have a bad credit record (payment default entry), we will require a security deposit from you when you make an electricity contract.
What is a security deposit?
If you as a customer have a bad credit record (payment default entry), you will need to provide a security deposit in order to make an electricity contract.
First, the electricity contract will be conditional. Paying a security deposit is a condition of the contract. Once the deposit has been paid, the condition expires.
How much is the security deposit?
The amount of the security deposit is always reviewed on a customer-specific basis, however, it has to do with what kind of building the contract is made for. In general, if the contract is for a flat, the deposit is €200, and if it is for a house or building, the deposit is €500.
How is the security deposit paid?
You will receive a deposit slip with all payment details and the due date. The deposit is then paid like any other invoice.
What is a conditional contract?
A conditional contract means that we have the right to terminate the contract without notice if the customer does not pay the security deposit by the due date. When the deposit is paid on time, the condition expires.
