Questions about electricity contracts
How can I get an offer for an electricity contract?
Companies that consume less than 100 MWh a year can make an electricity contract online. Pick the contract from a wide selection that suits your company best.
Companies consuming more than 100 MWh a year will receive an offer, based on their electricity consumption profile, from our corporate sales unit. Ask for an offer here.
How quickly can I get an offer?
We will answer all offer requests as soon as possible, but no later than a few business days.
How to choose the right electricity contract for my company?
When selecting an electricity contract, you should consider how much electricity your company consumes and when the consumption is at its highest. The amount of consumption is based on many factors, such as heating method, size of property and the type of business.
What suits one company may not suit another. This is why we offer companies various types of contracts and help choose between them. For example, you can make the most of an Exchange electricity contract by timing most of your consumption to the cheaper hours. With fixed-term electricity contracts, on the other hand, the energy price (cents per kWh) and the basic fee (euros per place of use a month) is locked for a certain period, up to three years at a time. This helps you to predict the size of your electricity bill better.
How do I transfer my electricity contract to you from another supplier?
If you accept our offer, we will take care of everything necessary to change your electricity supplier for you.
At which point before an existing contract terminates can I ask for an offer for a new contract period?
You can ask for an offer at any time! It’s good to react early, because that gives you more time to compare the alternatives. We update our offer as the electricity market situation changes.
To learn about electricity price development and thereby the best moment to conclude a contract, follow the electricity market review.
Can I change my electricity supplier during a fixed-term contract?
No. You must wait until the end of the fixed-term contract before switching to us.
The exception is in the case of moving house: if you’re moving, you can request the electricity vendor to terminate the fixed-term contract early. This way, you are free to sign a new contract with us for your new home.
How do I terminate our electricity contract?
If your company is moving out of its current premises and no longer needs an electricity contract, you can easily terminate your electricity contract here.
If your company consumes more than 100 MWh of electricity per year, please contact our business sales department.
If your company is changing electricity vendor while staying at its current address, you do not need to terminate the contract yourself. The new electricity vendor will terminate the contract on your behalf. Please note that the termination period is two weeks.
What do I pay for in electricity?
The price of electricity consists of the energy price, electricity distribution charges, and electricity and value-added taxes (VAT).
You pay the energy price to your electricity supplier as part of your electricity bill. The Electricity distribution charges, on the other hand, are determined and billed by your local electricity network company. Both bills also include taxes: electricity tax is based on your electricity consumption and is included in the transmission bill. VAT is charged on the energy price, transmission charges, electricity tax, and security of supply fee. Taxes account for at least one-third of the total electricity price you pay as a
How is your electricity produced?
This is the distribution of energy sources of the electricity we sold in 2023 (all electricity products):

You can also get a contract in which the electricity production is 100% renewable or CO2-free. You will receive a certificate of origin to confirm the production method. If you want to change the origin of your electricity contract, simply contact us.
